Sumon’s Bollywood dance workshops are designed for everyone and you do not require a background in dance.

Sumon brings the authenticity of Bollywood dance through its dynamic energy and theatrically expressive form, bringing the high-octane rhythms of Indian cinema.

The workshop offers you the chance to break away from your daily stress, immerse yourself in the joyful, lovely and colorful world of Bollywood.

The Workshop will be divided in two parts, with 2 different choreographies

Part A: Indian Contemporary dance

Part B: Bollywood Item song

1. THEORY
   History and evolution of Bollywood Dance.
   Analysis of different styles of dances used in Bollywood Choreographies.
2. Technique and Vocabulary
   Technique and basic steps.
   Common Combinations of steps of the dance style and how we use them in the choreography.
3. Choreography

Notes:

• The workshop will take place on Artistic Studio Oriental Expression (Antiopis 31, Aghios Dimitrios, Athens – Dafni Metro Station).
• We remind our members that participate in the ‘Be a Dance Professor’ program that workshop hours will count as double.
• All participants will be given notes and Certificates of Participation with the signature of INTERNANTIONAL DANCE COUNCIL (CID).
• The training material and especially the choreographies are property of the 1st Bollywood Dance Academy Greece and may not be taught by others for any reason. The right to teach the choreography have only the accredited teachers of the Academy.

*The workshop will be videotaped and will be available for members and participants that cannot attend in person.*
